BANQUET FOR AMERICA

3-12 February 2012

Flux Factory, New York

Banquet for America is an experimental utopian village centered around a banquet table. The artist-built town-within-a-gallery is complete with a theater, specialized shops, and more. Artists - including bakers, jewelers, barbers, puppeteers, and smørrebrød-makers - will inhabit the space for the duration of the show, eating and living with each other in structures made from reclaimed materials.

With: Jesper Aabille; Stephanie Avery; Jean Barberis & Mark Krawczuk; Hector Canonge; Kerry Cox; Veronica Dougherty; Adam Ende; Jason Eppink, Ian Montgomery & Adrian Owen; LuLu LoLo; Georgia Muenster; Andy Ralph; Giustina Surbone; Alison Ward; and Angela Washko. Curated by Alison Ward and Georgia Muenster. Special thanks to Chess Venis, Erich Rodriguez, and Shane Heinemeier.
