About Georgia:
A New York-born and London-based independent contemporary art curator, Georgia has a focus on urbanism, artists’ film and sound, and collectivity. She completed an MA in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art in 2015, studying psychogeographic practice with a final exhibition focusing on the digital and the unknown in contemporary art. She also holds a BA in Art History from Bard College from 2008. As an independent curator she has produced projects at venues including the Palais de Tokyo (FR), Museum of Modern Art Oxford (UK), ARoS (DK), Struer Tracks (DK), Elsewhere (USA), and Flux Factory (USA). Georgia has worked in a variety of galleries, pop-ups, museums, and theaters, and from 2008-2013, she was Press Writer & Curatorial Fellow of the artists’ residency and collective Flux Factory in New York.
In January 2018, she completed an International Curatorial Residency at the Fire Station in Dublin, and in February 2019 she undertook a research visit to Mexico City with a Developing Your Creative Practice award from the Arts Council England. She has also recently completed curatorial residencies with the Al Ma’mal Foundation in Jerusalem (July 2019), Goethe-Institut/Click in Sofia, Bulgaria (November 2019), the Styria Artist-in-Residence Scholarship in Graz, Austria (August - September 2022), and a CEC Arts Link curatorial residency, Almaty & Astana, Kazakhstan (June 2022).
