Arts Territory

February 2021 to Ongoing

LONDON, UK

Arts Territory is a not-for-profit arts organisation with a mission to support artists in creating new work, facilitating dialogue between artists, curators and communities internationally. Operating as a nomadic, fluid and open agency, Arts Territory offers a new model of arts commissioning, supporting radical artistic experimentation, research and collaboration, alongside testing new forms of curation and expanding the agency of curating.

Alongside curator Kasia Sobucka, I have worked on a number of projects with Arts Territory, namely the digital education series Ural Odyssey (February-March 2021) and the Walking Reading Group for the Robert Bosch Stiftung (May 2021).

Ural Odsyssey was a series of 10 events in partnership with Yekaterinburg History Museum over Zoom where invited creative practioners could discuss their practices, lead workshops or create participatory work. The project allowed for connections and digital collaborations, fostering meaningful community from a distance between artists in the UK and Russia. Participants included Polina Ivanova, Natalia Janula, Katarzyna Krakowiak, Anastasia Martynova, Harun Morrison, Marysia Lewandowska, Nahum, Ilya Polyanskikh, and Beata Wilczek.

The Walking Reading Group is knowledge exchange project that facilitates rich conversations between people who've never met before while discussing a series of carefully selected texts and walking, run by Lydia Ashman and Ania Bas. Together we organized a walk on the subject of care for alumni from the Robert Bosch Stiftung in the UK.
